The schema above shows the process to access biospecimens from our biobank or to access our services.

We serve both academic and industry researchers but the application process for industry researchers involves some additional steps.

Only de-identified materials (biospecimens and data) will be provided for use in research projects, i.e. no personal information about our participants will accompany the biospecimens or data.

Confirmation of Research Ethics Board (REB) approval for any research study is required to access biospecimens and data.

We can provide an applicant with our REB approval certificate for our biobank if this is required for a researcher to obtain study specific consent.

Learn more about our detailed application process to select biospecimens for your project in the BBRS Application Guide.
